Sanctions and Sanction levels

Jobseeker's Allowance and sanctionsJobcentre Plus can sanction you for some kinds of misconduct, for example if you fail to take part in the Work Programme. A sanction normally means Jobcentre Plus stops your JSA for a certain period, although in some cases they can reduce it instead. In most cases, Jobcentre Plus cannot sanction you if you have a good reason for your behaviour. In Northern Ireland, there are different rules about sanctions. For more information, see …See More

The mystery of the diversity of our economy is that as the growth occurs so does the demand on the Food Banks.

Help to Work

Posted on April 28, 2014 at 22:07 0 Comments

New intensive measures to help the long-term unemployed into work will begin from today (28 April 2014) as the government continues its push toward full employment. The new scheme – Help to Work – will give Jobcentre staff a new range of options to support the hardest to help get off benefits and into work. Jobcentre advisers will tailor back-to-work plans for individuals according to the particular barriers to work they may have. The new measures include intensive coaching, a requirement to…

Thanks for this site, it`s very positive, with the advice and guidance, and knowledge that there are alternatives that anyone can explore, this is very helpful.

Good idea, hopefully they will start writing letters to their MPs to point out how unfair a benefit cut is. I wrote a piece on UnemployedNet about the fairness argument -

You might like to take a look.

Hi John, thank you also for the warm welcome to this site. Would you drop off  or post me some more of your A6 leaflets?  I will leave a load at my church & at Inguess (? spelling).
As I had a printing business some years ago, I will find some way of producing them free.
You could sell advertising on the back of your leaflet? So if you charge your actual cost, then they will be free!
As I mentioned to Reza, I believe that we could all make some money out of all we do between all of us. So I will be taking a good look thro' all the site, so I get a feel for what it is etc. Then when I get my thinking head on, I think I would be a valuable asset & supporter of the website.

Thans again for the warm welcome,

All the best,

Gray Hammett
